Evergreen Metals International has been in operation since 1970, It was established by MR. FAHMI ALSHWEIKI who has over 45 years of experience in the Scrap metal recycling business. Evergreen Metals International is a global supplier of scrap and recycled ferrous & non-ferrous metals. We are a trusted partner to a range of companies across the recycling industry from processors, refineries, smelters, to manufacturers. We handle all major categories of scrap and recycled non-ferrous metals, including copper, aluminum, stainless steel, zinc, and ferrous scrap.

Evergreen Metals International has 5 operating sites across Israel and Palestine and recycles over 200,000 tonnes per annum of metals from automotive, municipalities, military, scrap yards, and manufacturing companies as well as metal merchants. We believe that all of this makes us one of the largest metal recycling companies in the Israel market.

1970

With a small truck, Mr.Fahmi Shweiki peddles dry goods and trades for scrap throughout Israel & west bank.

2000

The company expands its operations in Israel and west bank and new equipment is purchased designed to make the yard more efficient.
The company starts export non-ferrous & ferrous metals to other countries and a larger international network came into being.

2013

Evergreen Metals International opened its first copper cable recycling planet in Israel/east Jerusalem
EMI signed a contract with west bank electric corporation (JDECO) to recycle all its waste cables for 10 years.

1975

Mr.Fahmi Shweiki opened a small scrap yard in the east of Israel.
Mr.Fahmi started buying scrap from local collectors and then sell it.

2002

The company becomes a member of the Israel Ministry of environment.
EMI became one of the three recycling yards in Israel which have the license to treat all grades of scrap metals.

2015

The Company is engaged in the business of Loading bulk cargo ship of scrap metals to export to outside countries.

1980

Becoming a family business company.
Mr.Fahmi sons joined the business and the company became Fahmi Shwiki and sons.
The yard was expanded

2009

The company expands its presence in global markets. it opened a new office with representatives in Cyprus, Jordan, Israel, west bank & other middle east countries.

2016

The Company opened its second copper cable recycling planet in the west bank.
The company engaged in the plastic recycling industry.

1995

Mr.Fahmi Shweiki and sons adding three metals recycling facilities in central and south of Israel & one recycling facility in the west bank.
Fahmi Shweiki and sons become a publicly-traded company.

2011

The company becomes leading in the scrap metal industry.
EMI got 10.14G certificate from Israel Ministry of defense and became the second licensed company in Israel which can treat all grades of scrap.
EMI increased its presence in middle east countries.

2018

Evergreen Metals International named as one of the largest scrap metal processors in the middle east.
